Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmat Allahi wa barakatu
My name is Ameen.
I am a Muslim entrepreneur. Born and raised in Colorado.
I am Libyan photographer. I am an ecofriend. I enjoy playing basketball in my free time. I love to write and read.
I love to learn new languages (currently learning French and Turkish)
And now… a blogger, al-ḥamdu li-lah.

Why Start the Modst Fashn Blog?
People around me were boycotting products because of injustices those companies supported.
This got me thinking: what other products am I using that deserve to be boycott?
One of the first things that came to mind were my clothes.
How do they treat their workers?
With what materials are the clothes made?
How does that impact the environment?
At the same time, I was in search of modest alternatives to jeans, but struggled to get a hold of some.
Was I the only one struggling?

Too many people are don’t care
about what they wear…
From lacking modesty
To being unconcerned that it was made unethically.
To buying cheap clothes on Amazon, ignoring its environmental impacts.
People are going on with their lives without asking questions about what they wear,
Buying on looks,
Ignoring what the clothes truly mean.
I want this blog to fix that:
To tell the story behind what we wear,
And how to make better clothing decisions.
When more people are interested in the best of clothing, clothing manufacturers will follow, God willing.
Let’s make them listen.
Have a question?
Let’s chat, insha’ Allah
